Wow, I am astounded that even after a 100 years these planes are still flying! I had no idea those who flew the planes only had a few weeks of training. I can’t imagine how scary that is especially since planes were new at that time especially war planes. In the video one of the men talked about how 17yr old’s received the training to fly these planes and must have been extremely terrified. It reminded me of the scene in All Quiet where the boy was so scared on the front that Paul comforted him as if he was a baby. I cannot imagine how terrified these young boys were.
