The Facial Prosthetics of WWI

I was scrolling through YouTube and this video popped up! It’s all about Anna Coleman Ladd and her pioneering work in the facial prosthetics of the Great War.

A really interesting and brief video worth checking out!

(Also: happy armistice day!)

  1. This video was so interesting. Thanks for sharing! I had no idea that this lady made masks for these injured men. I’m sure this helped restore their confidence in themselves after having such great damage inflicted on them. Although it is terrible that these men had to go through such terrible things and still suffer after the war ended, I am glad that there were some people who were looking out for these men and trying to find ways to help them even if it was just a little bit.
